So...I was checking my email today...and I realized that I am on the mailing list of so many good fashion/style websites, so I figured I'd clue you in a little. Here are my MUST SUBSCRIBE website mailing lists:
Daily Candy: my absolute favorite. Depending what issues you sign up to receive, Daily Candy sends you special deals, events, and things you should check either in your area or online. They also feature smaller, more boutique-ie stores, so you can find something you never knew your area had. I subscribe to the Everywhere version, the Miami version, and the New York version, because who knows when a sample sale is going to pop up.
Swirl Daily Candy: basically a website by Daily Candy for sample sales. Instead of getting deals on brands, Swirl takes you straight to the sale.
The Zoe Report: there are 2 things you can never have enough of: lipsticks, and the Zoe Report. A daily tap into the mind of Rachel Zoe, you receive info on new products or items she is currently obsessed with. Plus, although she tends to flock to more expensive pieces, a feature at the bottom called "Parallel Universe" shows you how to get the look for less. A mix of functional and avante garde pieces, it's like having your own personal portable stylist.
Who What Wear: daily style features on artists, stars, and even regular girls. The main focus of their emails is personal style and how to mix different things to get your own look, which is why they have in-depth analysis of their feature's perfect style formulas too, not just pictures.Today I received one about Blake Lively - yay! The creators of the website also wrote a style book, which gets the coveted spot of my center bookshelf. Ever see a picture of a celebrity in a magazine and go "Oh god what issss thissss!!?!!"? There's even a feature on their website to track down what the celebrity was wearing. How cool is that?
Barney's New York: more of a store than a style website, granted, but the Barney's ads are more editorial than commercial if you know what I mean. Their images are interesting and fun to look at, not to mention the clothes and the Irene Neuwirth jewels that sometimes pop up...plus it's always fun to read the Barney's Babble by Simon Doonan!
Are you typing in these websites to subscribe as you read? YOU SHOULD BE! Checking your email is no longer boring...it can be chic!
PS. speaking about technology being chic...did you know that the iPad is popular not only with buisness people and techies, but also the fashion community? Check out the stylish new iPad cases in the works! Ka-razayyy!
