I was on a website the other day (charmandchain.com - its fantastic. go look) and saw this and thought of you...or rather thought of what I said TO you. This website totally gets my feeling about vintage things. Seeee? Vintage is cool!
On another note, I would like to talk about plum. Or, more importantly, Fresh's Sugar Plum lip tint. Plum makeup (eyes, lips, cheeks, nails - you name it) has been gracing the runways and magazines this season. And, to make the it color more wearable, Sugar concocted a plum version of their best-selling tint. A tint is like a chapstick with a drop of color, which results in a sheer wash. They also make it in Rose and no color. I own the plum and the rose - rose for summer, plum for fall - and they are honestly the only lip makeup I use. I don't really like lipgloss because it makes your lips sticky and the shine is overpowering. With the tint, my lips feel soft and comfortable and I get the color I want. The plum tint is sheer, but buildable to a rich plum, and shiny, but not like a gloss. I like it because I think it makes me look like I was eating a blackberry or cherries or something and my lips just got stained. It's sexy and fun and flattering and....just GOOD! In every way! It is the one thing that I carry with me to school and always keep in my bag. The one downside is that you have to keep re-applying it or the color will fade. But I don't think this is such a problem that I wouldn't get it. The color in the tube is deceiving...
